Music Therapy

Fees and Insurance

What is music therapy?

It's using music to help you.

Do I need to have musical experience?

Absolutely not!

What if I absolutely don't want to do anything creative at all?

Thats okay too! It's only as much or as little as you feel comfortable with.

Do you talk too?

Yes! We can always talk - it is always up to you.

Do you accept insurances?

I am not currently in-network with any insurance companies. I am an eligible out-of-network provider which generally means you could be reimbursed a percentage of the session fee you paid up front. I can provide a receipt of services after sessions that you can submit to your insurance provider. I am happy to provide you with additional information about how this could work for you.

Why do you not accept insurances directly?

Although utilizing insurance can sometimes be more affordable up front, it often comes with limitations that can impact your care and treatment. For example, benefits through many insurance companies require a diagnosis in order to be eligible for care and determine how long, how often and when we can meet. I believe your care and treatment should be just that, yours.

What is your rate?

My rate for a 45 minute session is $250 and $300 for a 60 minute session.

Do you offer a sliding scale?

I maintain sliding scale availability for a portion of my practice. Currently my sliding scale availability appointments are full. I will update this page when that changes.

Is there a cancellation fee?

For appointments cancelled more than 24 hours in advance, there is no cancellation fee. If you are unable to provide 24 hours notice, you would be responsible for the full session fee.
